CHAPTER – 1
The Earth in the Solar System
Study astronomy in this chapter. examine the solar system and the many celestial objects. Additionally, the chapter discusses several astronomical occurrences. The chapter also instructs us on how to interpret directions on a map. Additionally, we would read about common map symbols. A quick introduction to drawings and plans of cities, towns, villages, and other places is provided as the chapter comes to a close.

CHAPTER – 5
Major Domains of the Earth
There are three major domains of earth – land, air and water. In this chapter, we will explore the different domains of the earth & will also their significance. We will study the different attributes of these domains, what they mean, how they sustain life, and their importance in our lives. There are seven continents on this earth – Asia, Europe, Africa, North America, South America, Australia and Antarctica. This chapter gives us information about all these continents.

CHAPTER – 6
Major Landforms of the Earth
In this chapter, we will learn about the major landforms of the earth and about the various properties of the earth’s surface. We will experience the formation of landforms, mountains and their types, plateaus and their types, formation of plains and about their characteristics. The chapter also tells us about plains and the lives of people in the plains. The chapter concludes by telling us about the life of people living in different landforms.We will see how the special characteristics of different landforms shape the work and daily life of the people.

CHAPTER – 7
Our Country- India
This chapter begins with a brief introduction about the landforms, geographical locations, demographics etc. of our country, India. We will see India’s geographical location in detail and its neighbouring countries. Moving further we will learn the political & physical division of India. We also learn about our country’s physical features in terms of mountain ranges, plateaus, plains, etc. The chapter concludes by talking about the coastal areas and the islands that come within India’s boundary.

CHAPTER – 8
India- Climate, Vegetation and Wildlife
From the Himalayas to the Thar desert to the West Bengal woods, the climate and vegetation in India differ greatly. India has four distinct seasons: winter, summer, rainy, and monsoon. Different climatic conditions affect different types of natural vegetation. In this chapter, we will experience the flora and fauna of different natural vegetation such as tropical rainforests, tropical deciduous forest, desert vegetation, mountain vegetation, mangrove forest and we will also learn the importance of forests. At the end of this chapter, we will explore the world of wild animals.
