I'm still working on getting my Associates Degree in Chemical Dependency Counseling. I did my internship at this facility last summer and they hired me on, so I cut back on the amount of classes I was taking. I do, however, have my CT-AD, which is a counselor trainee certificate. I've been working there for a little over a year now. My day to day activities vary, depending on the patients. Right now I have ten patients on my case load. I'm in charge of their treatment planning, providing information to their insurance companies about their progress, running two, forty-five minute task groups and keeping their progress notes up to date. Every day, there is some type of emergency. I have to deal with "problem" patients which ranges from people refusing to go to group to people threatening to hurt themselves. SOANA
